The Wentworthville Centre is Cumberland’s second largest commercial centre located close to Westmead Health and Education Precinct and the Parramatta CBD and is highly accessible to the Great Western Highway, M4 Motorway, Wentworthville Railway Station and the Liverpool to Parramatta Transitway.

In 2014, the former Holroyd City Council was successful in achieving grant funding under the NSW Government’s Planning Reform Fund Program to facilitate the urban renewal and economic revitalisation of the Centre and to provide the planning framework to deliver redevelopment in the Centre.

In 2016, the Wentworthville Planning and Place Making Strategy was adopted which recommended increasing the maximum building height and floor space ratios and the introduction of new bonuses for height and FSR across the Centre.

Town planning services included preparing the Planning Proposal to endorse the recommendations of the Wentworthville Planning and Place Making Strategy together with supporting Urban Design Guidelines and Development Control Plan provisions.
