Under the provisions of State Environmental Planning Policy (Infrastructure) 2007, many NSW Government infrastructure projects are able to be assessed under Part 5 of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 to improve the effectiveness of infrastructure delivery within NSW.
Subsequently, the practice was engaged over a 4 year period to undertake a comprehensive assessment of environmental effects and prepare a Review of Environmental Factors (REF) pursuant to Part 5 of the EP&A Act 1979.
A range of REFs were prepared for multiple sites across the metropolitan area and throughout regional NSW. The purpose of each report was to provide a detailed description of the proposed works, assess the potential degree of environmental impact of the proposal and where possible, identify any ameliorative measures to minimise potential impacts.
