Global Switch is a world leader in providing co-location data storage services with facilities in major financial hubs in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

In collaboration with DEM Architects (Australia) we provided a range of town planning services to secure Major Project approval from the NSW State Government to create the Southern Hemisphere’s largest secure co-location data storage facility.

The project involved the construction of a purpose built six (6) storey building above three basement levels, accommodating a total Gross Floor Area (GFA) of 22,285 m² with a backup plant area of 15,227 m², incorporating a range of sophisticated and environmentally sustainable design initiatives.

Ryan Planning prepared an Environmental Assessment Report under Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act to accompany the application.
